EVERY DAY CHURCH: Covenant Hour of Prayers...

“Therefore, in the name of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, Covenant Hour of Prayer is hereby flagged off for the advancement of both this Commission and the individual members of the Winners’ family worldwide beginning from Monday 16th March, 2015.”

With these words, the President and Founder of the Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo, declared open the latest spiritual instruction for the season. According to a leaflet “Introducing the Covenant Hour of Prayer,”  containing the guidelines, the Covenant Hour of Prayers is anchored on several scriptures, among which are Psalms 63:1-3, Proverbs 8:17 and Isaiah 26:9: “Oh Lord my God, early will I seek thee…to see thy power and thy glory.” “They that seek me early shall find me.”

The announcement leaflet stated further that the hour of prayer will be taking place both at Canaanland and all WSF Regional facilities, from Monday through Friday between 5:30 and 6:30am. However, in areas where there are security issues and restriction of movement, the time shall be 6am to 7am.

BUT WHY NOT IN OUR INDIVIDUAL HOMES?

The answer to the question above was also provided in the leaflet, with scriptural backings: “God has the right to determine where to keep appointment with His people (Deut.12:13-14; Gen.22:1-5). Zion, that is, the church is God’s appointed place for His people in the New Testament (Ps.132:13-14; Acts 3:1). Zion, the church is our God’s appointed service station for holiness, deliverance and for possessing our possessions (Obad.17, 21; Heb.12:22-24).”

It also stated that Christ’s presence is guaranteed when we gather together in the name of the Lord and “He honours whatever we agree to in prayers,” in line with Matthew 18:22-24

BENEFITS

According to Bishop Oyedepo, this Covenant Hour of Prayer will usher the ministry into “higher realms of dominion, drafting multitudes into the church through the wonders of answered prayers” in line with Zech.8:20-21. But that’s not all, it shall also guarantee a heaven-on-earth and wonders-without-end experience for every Winner all through 2015. But the ultimate, according to Papa, is that this prayer movement will “stir a sustainable spiritual awakening and revival across our church network worldwide” which will culminate in “a wave of manifestation of the sons of God.”

TAKE ADVANTAGE...

God has spoken through His servant. They that dive in early shall obtain the benefits. Having a prophet that hears from heaven on a daily basis is a blessing but it will amount to nothing if we are hearers alone and not doers. We therefore urge everyone to hearken to the voice of God and maximize this season.
