“Faith, My Longest Partner In The Journey Of Life” …Dr. David Oyedepo

The president of the Living Faith Church worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo poured encomiums on his wife while ushering her to share God’s word with participants at the ongoing Shiloh 2014. Bishop Oyedepo told the mammoth crowd in a rare, no-holds-barred introduction to the encounter nights service, that the wife of his youth has not given him occasion to regret marrying her once. He said their 38-year-old relationship has been the best thing in his life after God. Papa described mama faith as a true reflection of HEAVEN ON EARTH over the last 32 years of their marital bliss. The grandfather of four reminisced how Pastor Faith Oyedepo was challenged in her health about this time last year but was sustained through the grace of God. The man of God also used the opportunity to pour words of blessings on the congregation based on the happenings of his life. Read how the architect turned- preacher ushered Mama (as his wife is fondly called) to the pulpit with endearing words that left many women and men green with envy:
“To bring the word of God to you tonight is my longest partner in the journey of life. It is scriptural to be challenged, but unscriptural to be defeated. By this time last year, she was challenged, but in a matter of weeks, she was fully back to her strength.
The good news of this partnership is that throughout these 32years, she has never caused me one problem. I have not had any prayer point to sustain the relationship;
She was the first human being on earth to hear The Mandate from my mouth. For 32years, I have had no domestic concern. It is not just a blessed marriage but a blessed family.”
For every home, the same order of peace that passes all knowledge becomes yours tonight. Every challenged marriage, I decree peace. Every health challenge, I decree the quickening of your mortal bodies.”

The Omu-Aran born architect-turned-pastor also had a word of surprise for his son and the congregation as regards how he felt when the younger David Oyedepo ministered earlier during the morning service.
“This morning, I listened to our first son ministering, and I was learning from my own son. At least, I learnt one scripture I had never known before and he met me in this thing! When I preached my first message in 1970, he was probably hanging somewhere.”
Then he declared a word of prayer for the mammoth crowd, online and ‘on-ground’:
“All of your children and grand-children shall be sources of joy.”
