THE FAITH TICKET

One doesn’t need to have been born-again for many years to be conversant with Psalm 24:1“The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, the world, and they that dwell therein.”

Though many believers often recite this scripture especially during Bible classes, some may not be aware of the covenant provisions embedded in it. But on Sunday 18th May, 2014, during the last services, at Faith Tabernacle-Canaan land, headquarters of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, the presiding bishop David Oyedepo, removed the scales (as it were) from the eyes of many when he narrated how he benefits from this highly producing verse.

Dwelling on the same topic series “Unveiling The Mystery of Faith,” the president of the movement, also known as Winners’ Chapel International stated how Faith in God’s word according to Psalms 24:1 has put him in command over many life issues especially as regards the acquisition of landed properties.

 He toned: “I have never had to know any landowner, not here at Canaanland, or abroad, before acquiring land. Because God said to me, ‘I don’t need anyone’s permission to use my own thing’.”

Quoting further from Isaiah 31:1-3, the grandfather admonished worshippers to stop relying on men’s connection, who they know, their skills or expertise, games or gimmicks, etc…but to resolve to begin a lifestyle of fully trusting in God.

The Apostle of faith continued: “There’s nothing in man that warrants your trust because man is limited…but this God is the only dependable one.” He was quick to remind all attendees - online and on-ground of his oft-repeated encounter with God where he realized it was impossible to look up with one eye while the other one is facing the ground.

One lesson many worshippers will probably never forget, is that no matter how difficult it is to acquire any landed property, a very ‘present help in that time of need’ would be to brandish, in faith, the ticket of Psalms 24:1. Indeed, the earth, even all the parcels of land, belongs to God, and He can make it available to whosoever understands the mystery of the ticket.

 In the earlier services, Bishop David Oyedepo, said a good conscience will help many believers to do better in the school of faith.
