John the Baptist did no miracle-John 10
verse 41
Members
of the Winners family have been admonished to be conscious of angelic
protection as they joined other Christians around the world to mark Palm
Sunday.
The
advice was handed down by Bishop David Oyedepo, Founder and President of the
Living Faith Church Worldwide, aka Winners Chapel International at Faith
Tabernacle-Canaan land, Ota on Sunday 13th April 2014.
In
a sermon series titled ‘walking in the realm of the miraculous’, Bishop Oyedepo
specifically veered into engaging the ministry and power of angels in steering
the miraculous on a day Jesus Christ made His triumphant entry to Jerusalem.
Taking
his bearing from Acts 12 verses 11-12,the fiery preacher stated that angels are
spirit-beings with physical impact; “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent
forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation”-Heb.1:14,Gen
18:1-3,Dan 3:25-26,1Kgs 17:1-6.IKgs.19:5-6.
Papa
as he is fondly called, posited that someone can be loaded and still be
grounded, citing the case of John the Baptist who is a proof of unengaged
resources. According to him, winners are too surrounded to be stranded: “The
angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth
them”-Ps 34:7.
The
apostle of faith disclosed steps to get angels to work which include believing
in the reality of their existence and mission. One can engage their
intervention in prayers, issuance of faith filled specific commands, Refusal to
fear and stating what the word says at all times, he concluded.
The
Holy Communion was administered to the ever growing congregation in a healing
banquet which doubled as hosanna service.
The
59-year-old Omu-Aran born cleric enjoined worshipers to read PUTTING YOUR
ANGELS TO WORK, thereby adding to our books of the month of Resurrection.
