“Life is a privileged existence with attendant responsibilities. You exist by privilege but you are sustained by responsibilities. The plants have to carry on their responsibility of supplying oxygen to the atmosphere, continuously, and foreverly. In the same way, the animals have to keep on supplying their carbon dioxide to the atmosphere for the plants to take – continuously, tirelessly, and foreverly. The day each one is tired of dong his own part, he’s dead. Until you take spiritual responsibility, you remain a spiritual or religious liability. You need to take responsibility. No one can eat for you. I know many of you are very busy but can you ask your wife to eat on your behalf? You die of starvation! Nobody can exercise for you to be agile and strong. You exercise for yourself. There’s no anointing that will be a substitute for your personal spiritual build-up…”
“Let me ask you this one question: if you are without food for one week, how agile can you be in battle? If you want to know a gentle woman, let her be in her 7th, 8th month of pregnancy. No matter how much you insult them she will say, just wait, when I deliver! The reason you are not agile is because your spirit man is being starved. It lacks strength, it lacks vitality. It cannot dive, it cannot withstand – so it’s constantly harassed!”

The last time you took your Bible was last Sunday! And then this Sunday you are looking for it…I may not be as busy as you are, but I read my Bible daily. Not because I’m now a preacher; I’ve been doing that longest time before I became one. Somebody asked me, ‘do you cram scriptures?’ I said ‘I don’t cram them, I eat them…I don’t just read them, I eat them. Thy words were found and I did eat them, and the words became the joy and the rejoicing of my heart! The books that will be written from my own memoirs when my time on earth is over will be far more than whatever I end up writing. There are things I have found and documented that may never be preached in my lifetime. Let’s wake up!”
What is prayer and fasting? They that wait upon the Lord, they shall renew their strength. Isaiah 40:31…We exercise the spirit man with prayer and fasting. Not big mouth; big mouth is not as important as great heart…every hour you log in prayer and fasting is credited to your spiritual account…I don’t know what week has passed since 1981 that I did not fast. That can’t be! I was waiting on the Lord for almost a whole year in 1985. It’s no ‘yoke’ (joke). And all the witches in Ota and Nigeria know that when I’m coming they should clear the road. They know. If you ask them now, they will tell you – they will say please leave him alone, we don’t want to play with him. Because if I open my eyes you are dead! I have gathered some energy of the lion. It’s not this academic thing that people are doing around now – I confess- I profess I confess a car! Stay awake – keep your spiritual man alive and strong! Receive that grace right now.”

"Can you imagine anyone coming to Jesus and Jesus will say, No, come back tomorrow? If He won’t turn you back from being saved, He won’t turn you back for being healed. When your faith for healing comes alive, that is the day He heals you. Salvation is the dearest treasure in heaven; so whatever can get you saved will get you much more speedily healed, because salvation is far more precious.
Everything was on earth – healings, miracles, even the dry bones of Elisha was raising the dead. The only thing that was not on earth was the redemption of the soul. So if redemption of your soul is that free, then every other treasure in heaven is much freer. If He didn’t turn you back from being saved, He can’t turn you back from being healed; He can’t turn you back from being delivered; He can’t turn you back from enjoying a turn-around. He said ‘I’m the Lord I change not. So, God will not be any more powerful tomorrow that He is today.”
“Say this after me: God won’t ask me to come back tomorrow for what my faith is ready to collect today. He will not be any more powerful tomorrow than He is today; He will not be any more faithful tomorrow. He will not have any greater provision tomorrow.
