A HARVEST OF TESTIMONIES...JANUARY 2015 (PART 1)

OUTSTANDING TESTIMONIES SHARED AT FAITH TABERNACLE IN THE MONTH OF JANUARY 2015.
God is no respecter of persons; if He did for these people, He can (and will) do it for you. Remember, if you do what they did, you too can get what they got.

Supernatural Turnaround via 21-day Prayer & Fasting!
“During the 21-day prayer and fasting of 2010 and 2011, I fasted for three days and seven days respectively before I stopped. In 2012, our year of Double Portion, the Bishop said that we must not allow our stomach to rob us of our blessings. So, I was determined to fast for the 21 days.
Two days to the end of the 21-day prayer and fasting, I went outside to buy recharge card and I saw a man looking like a mad man or a drunkard. He asked me for water, but I ignored him. When I got to the shop where I wanted to buy the recharge card, it was unavailable, so I went to the next shop.
Behold, that same man came to the shop and asked the woman to give him sachet water. Immediately, I had a nudge in my spirit that it was my second chance. So, I asked him if he wanted any other thing. Then he asked, ‘You want to buy me something?’ Thereafter, he ordered for a drink from the shop.
Suddenly, one of the elderly men who sat at the shop scolded him because he demanded for a drink. Then the man replied, ‘Allow me to drink; since two thousand years ago, people have been calling upon me. Allow me to drink!’
Meanwhile, in my family, no one has ever built any structure. However, after that encounter, God used me as an instrument to erect a building worth ten million naira in my village that same year. God also gave me a wife and a baby. I give God all the glory!”---Emmanuel Okedu

Supernatural Turnaround!
“Before I joined this Commission in 2010, I was in abject poverty and a subject of pity amongst my family in the village. However, on my first day in church, I listened to the Bishop preach and I asked myself, ‘Where have you been all this while?’
Thereafter, I obeyed every instruction from the altar to the letter. Immediately, my turnaround started. That same year, God provided me with a job and a house. I also got married in 2011 and presently, we have two children.
In 2012, I gave my house rent as my Shiloh sacrifice. To the glory of God, I who was pitied by the villagers and poorer than the poor, I’m now the landlord of three tenants. In November 2014, we dedicated our duplex. To God be the glory!” ---Ejike Osadongo

Supernatural Change of Story via 21-day Prayer & Fasting!
During the 21-day fasting and prayer in 2014, I told God to announce me to the world and make me a global phenomenon. Indeed, God proved Himself.
I went to Ghana last year for my education and I stayed with my uncle. In a short while, without any reason, he told me to leave. Then, my coach accommodated and took care of me. I also wrote my pre-degree examinations and God saw me through.
In December 2014, during the Shiloh week, we had a Korean competition and I told God, ‘This is Shiloh week, that which you have promised me this year, may You fulfill it before the end of this year.’ To the glory of God, He gave me a gold medal, the best female player and a trip to Korea. Also, I will represent Ghana in the all African games this year in Congo. Furthermore, He gave me a scholarship to study in any university in the world. Praise the Lord!” ---Adedapo Eunice

Miracle Baby!
I got married in September 2012 and suffered five miscarriages. So, I decided that I would not get pregnant again.
Thereafter, I attended Shiloh 2013 while serving in Edo State as a Corps member while my husband resided in Lagos. During Shiloh, a woman who experienced a similar situation like mine and later had twins shared her testimony. I keyed into that testimony and told God, ‘I have come to Shiloh and You will give me my miracle baby.’ I also gave my December salary as a Corps member for my Shiloh sacrifice.
That same month, I took in. In January 2014, during the 21-day prayer and fasting, I participated the first week. Meanwhile, I was already pregnant but I started spotting after a while, although it was not time for my menstrual period. I later visited the hospital and the test result showed that I was pregnant but it was weak.
I told the doctor that I believe I was pregnant and it wasn’t weak. To the glory of God, I delivered a baby boy. I give God all the glory!”---Joy Adeyemi

JOKE OF THE MONTH

When I was a kid, my dad bought a new car and drove us to church one Sunday. It was a prophetic service and our pastor was being used by God that day to deliver people from poverty. Suddenly, our pastor looked at my dad and said, "Mr. Lasisi, God is set to bless you" my mum jumped up and shouted excitedly, "Amen!!!"

My dad was excited too. The Pastor then came closer, placed his hands on my dad's head and prayed for him. As our Pastor turned to climb the altar, the Spirit of God told him something. He stopped, looked at my dad and said, "Mr. Lasisi did you buy a new car last week?"
"Yes sir" my dad responded with much surprise on his face. Then our Pastor said; God said I should tell you to sow your CAR KEY into my life"

I was shocked that my dad did not argue with the Pastor, he just put his hand in his pocket, brought out the car key and gave it to our Pastor. After about 5 minutes, my dad stood up, went outside the church, he didn't even wait till the end of the service. I could see him entering Okada and going home. "He must be very worried" I reasoned in utter fear and confusion. After a while he returned to church with the SPARE KEY of his car and drove the car back to the house. I was so stunned at what I was seeing. So when I asked him why he acted that way he said:

"Maxwell, use your brain, the Pastor asked for the KEY and NOT the CAR."

WINNING TEENS: Serving God in Thy Youth

One characteristic a young person possesses is strength. Young people are known to be agile, full of vigor and relentless. It is possible that they can accomplish anything they set their minds to achieve.

As a teenager, it will be awesome to use your strength to serve God. Our Lord and saviour, Jesus Christ at age 12 left his family for three days and was found discussing with doctors and asking them questions, thereby minding His father’s business.

Close to that is our father in the faith, Bishop David Oyedepo who also laid a good example for us to follow. He gave his life to Jesus Christ at 15, and preached his first message a year later. Papa as he is fondly called never relented in his tireless pursuit of kingdom service; he is waxing strong every day. Kingdom service surely pays a great deal because it makes you a star in your school and among your peers.
Paul speaking to his son in 2 Timothy 3:15, “And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”

Now, what does the scripture say concerning serving God?
In Job 36:11, the Bible says, “If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasure.” I will admonish you not to despise this stage you are as a teenager (2Timothy 4:12) because this is the right season in your life to serve God with your entire being. It surely works and it pays a great reward.

RESCUED FROM BOKO HARAM: A Nigerian Soldier Recounts Experience

Says: “I Held On To God’s Word As Declared By Bishop Oyedepo”
With the Nigerian Military Command and Control Centre (MCCC) relocated to Maiduguri, Borno State and the renewed commitment of the international community to assist the government to end insurgency, the nation will soon heave a sigh of relief.
However, Matthew Ayodele Fagbero has just returned from the bedrock of the yet-to-be-abated insurgency, giving thanks and praise to God Almighty for sparing his life in mysterious circumstances. This Physiotherapy technician who hails from Ogun State joined the Army in December 1989, and has served in ECOMOG - Liberia and Sierra Leone, Niger Delta militancy and Boko Haram operations.

HIS SPIRITUAL ROOT…
An Usher in this Commission, the Muslim-turned-Deacon who spoke to FT News recently during the Faith Tabernacle Ushers’ annual Love Feast, is emphatic about the Supernatural as his natural realm of operation: “To survive these operations is not a matter of being special or smart; it's just that God has a plan. I saw God's hand in action during the Boko Harm operations because, it was the same route that I followed and escaped that many followed but did not survive”.

WARRING WITH PROPHECIES… (1Tim.1:18)
He quotes Bishop Oyedepo as saying that children of this commission are not permitted to die young and holds on to this word every time and confesses it knowing that, when the prophet of God speaks and is believed, it will come to pass. But knowing full well that faith without work is dead, this Soldier, alongside others, also became a soldier for Christ, even in the heat of the insurgency: “We erected an altar in the bush to serve God. We prayed and fasted together, even unbelievers gave their lives to Christ there and when the tragedy happened, all of us survived it, God kept us.”

A BULLET MEANT FOR ME LANDED ON THE DASHBOARD…
The Bible in Psalm 34:19 says “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all.” How was this born-again soldier able to escape from the attacks of Boko Haram?
We were at a town bordering the Republic of Niger when this incident occurred on January 3rd 2015.  I fasted and prayed between 30th and 31st December 2014 and anointed myself. So, that day the insurgents were firing all-round and there was pandemonium. Our vehicle was trying to escape and I quickly jumped in, unknowingly we were headed for the insurgents’ base. On sighting us coming, they resumed shooting at us. A bullet came in through the windscreen right in my direction and then fell on the dashboard.”

ANOTHER BULLET CAME IN AND CUT OFF MY COLLEAGUE’S EAR!
According to him, it almost looked like this was the end, but as it turned out, God had (and always have) a better plan. “I quickly told the driver to take another direction and escape but he was hesitant, before he knew it, another bullet came in and cut off his ear and he stopped and I said to him “don’t stop" but he refused. I heard the sound of the Boko Haram insurgents on motorcycles. I opened the door and just when I was about getting off, he moved the vehicle on top speed, and I fell on my back. I just continued to run into the bush with some civilians and then noticed that my left leg was getting weaker. At first my colleagues tried to assist me but could not continue to carry me and they left. I was alone, 'managing' myself.”

GOD WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS…AND IS NEVER LATE!
According to his testimony, what happened next was a manifestation of Exodus 23:27, “I will send my terror before you and will throw into confusion all the people against whom you shall come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you” or how else does one describe this?  “Later in the evening, I heard the sound of the insurgents on motorcycles. I hid myself in a little shrub. They came back again about three to four times and later they were moving round and I was seeing them but they were not seeing me. I had to wait for nightfall before and I walked all through that night before God rescued me from that bush. Suddenly, a motorcycle came from nowhere and took me to safety. On getting home, I went for x-ray and found that a nerve had been affected.”
Currently recuperating, Matthew Fagbenro is married and blessed with two children.

PHOTONEWS: Pictures from FT Ushers’ Love Feast held on Sunday May 31, 2015

Fifteen years ago, she joined the Unit and started from group Five – a place for those who had not attended WOFBI. Given to service, humility and punctuality, she earned a first ‘rank’ – to be sweeping the Ushers’ office. And God’s Grace was (and is still) sufficient for her – she is now the Head, Faith Tabernacle Ushers! Her name is Dcns. Kumbi Oyefeso

GIST AROUND THE TABERNACLE: The Other Side Of Papa!

It is obvious that Bishop David Oyedepo, fondly called ‘Papa’ is blessed of God in all ramifications. He is celebrated worldwide and held in high esteem. He is a great man of God, an influential leader, educator par excellence (Chancellor of two Universities- Covenant University and Landmark University). And behind that fiery Preacher you see on the altar, is an awesome father who loves his family so much. But that’s not all; there is something delightsomely different about this 60-year-old wealthy preacher.

You won’t believe what FT News gathered about this humble man with a deep sense of meekness! At the recently held Pastors’ meeting in May 2015, it beat some people’s imagination that Bishop Oyedepo, slept in one of the halls of residence in Covenant University alongside other top-ranking pastors in the ministry including Bishop David Abioye, Bishop Thomas Aremu and others for the duration of the meeting (four days). Who would have thought that he would leave the comfort of his ‘king size’ bed for a ‘student size’ bed in the hostel of a University? Well, he is truly a leader who leads by example.

BOOKS THAT CHANGE LIVES: ALL YOU NEED TO HAVE ALL YOUR NEEDS MET

Many have devised their own ways of meeting their needs. But David O Oyedepo in this book says "God is all you need to have all your needs met".

In it he reveals secrets, which he says will terminate your seeking after blessings, and will rather turn you into a blessing. The secrets contained therein are tested and proven secrets which he has used and have worked for him, and will work for anybody who dares to follow in his steps.

It's God’s desire to meet all His children's needs. But He will only do that on His terms, not on ours. So, get this book and discover what the Father's terms for meeting your needs are. But don't just stop at discovering: go a step further by doing, and you will join the company of those whose needs are supernaturally met by HEAVEN!

QUOTES OF THE MONTH

“Wisdom is knowing the right thing to do from the Word and doing it. You seek one thing to gain command of all other things...that’s why I call it a covenant jackpot.” Bishop David Oyedepo,
“Nothing Advances you than your commitment to the advancement of His Kingdom.” Bishop David Oyedepo,
“It is not enough to have a great coach; it is important to make a great decision of commitment and dedication to the instructions of the coach.” Bishop David Oyedepo,
“I’m blessed. You get angry, that’s your problem. He can’t stop blessing me because I’m doing what commits Him to keep blessing me no matter how angry anyone gets.” Bishop David Oyedepo,

YEEEHHHH! I CAN NEVER BE POOR: The Copelands Connection

Many years back, in one of the many celebrations of The Mandate, the Copelands (Kenneth and Gloria Copeland) where in Nigeria to celebrate with the church. And when it was time to introduce the matriarch of the Copeland family, Gloria, Bishop Oyedepo had these words to say. “This is the woman that taught me the mystery of prosperity.”  The question is, how?

Bishop Oyedepo has always talked about how he took delivery of the keys of kingdom prosperity. In one of his numerous, “God-told-me-in-clear-terms” messages, he has often told Winners’ how God’s prosperity plan is not a promise and therefore “Does not answer to prayer and fasting.”  He would often add “Until your part is played, He is not committed.” All these and more culminated in the oft-repeated “And I spinned and shouted, Yeeeehhh! I can never be poor.”  No one can tell the story more than Bishop David Oyedepo himself. Read it direct from Papa:

“I have two major encounters that turned everything around in my life. First was March 22, 1982, while seeking and searching for kingdom secrets of prosperity. I was with the books of Kenneth and Gloria Copeland - great mentors, and I was searching God with my Bible on a 3-day adventure. I separated myself, you know the Bible says “Through desire, a man having separated himself seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom”. I said “Lord show me the secret of kingdom prosperity.” On the 3rd day, light broke out from heaven, it came to me like an intoxicant, and it turned me on like hot wine. I stood up after I found it, and I spinned and screamed ‘Yeehhh! I can never be poor!’

GOD IS NO RESPECTER OF PERSONS…

“Whatever I found that night, you too be set to find it out now, and you shall be free forever. Not that I’m free from debt; I have never been in it! From 1982 till date, I have never needed to pray for what to eat; I have never called on anybody on phone, or knocked on any door, for any form of aid. God is no respecter of persons. If you can see what I saw, and engage yourself the way I did, you will be sharing the same testimony.”

TIME TO HARASS THAT HARASSMENT

By Lara Owoeye-Wise
Recently, I was in church and suddenly, I don't know what it was I heard that took my mind astray, back, several years to a story my late father shared with me. I dwelt so much on that story and it grew very big in my spirit. So I temporarily 'left' the church service to pen this down.
There was this old woman in my village, a friend of my dad and she was about his age. Each time they met, either in our house whenever she visited, or in the church or anywhere for that matter, they had this funny way of salutation.
My dad (a very funny man), would hit his leg on the ground and attempt to harass her and she would either put her hands on her waist or wave a finger, warning him that she would beat him up again o, and they would both laugh and exchange pleasantries.
It was me, of course, who asked dad why they always did that. Initially, he said he would not tell me because I had a big mouth, lol. But he later shared the story with me.
Here it goes...

A HARVEST OF TESTIMONIES...1

Supernatural Turnaround!
“For 18 years, my brother in Germany refused to relate with us. According to him, anytime he wants to do anything, he would have problems. It is either his goods got seized or something would happen to him. So, he decided to disconnect from us.

Then, I attended Shiloh 2013 and believed God for intervention. Thereafter in April 2014, my brother returned to Nigeria for the first time. He told me that he would be importing goods to Nigeria five times in a year and requested that I help him handle one of the transactions. I agreed! Then he said that he hoped there won’t be problems. I told him that there would be no problems because I am a daughter of Bishop Oyedepo.

Heaven on Earth greetings in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe that everyone has experienced next levels of command of the supernatural in the course of the month of MAY; and may the impact of each one’s encounter last for a lifetime in Jesus’ name. Amen.
But what is the spirit of the lord saying for the month of JUNE 2015?
